Too many people believe that the environment is something that will last forever. Or that even if it doesn't last forever, they are not the person to help out. Those comments are wrong. You don't have to travel the world to help the environment, in fact you might not even not have to get up! And although you can turn off the lights and unplug your charger, there are many other more enjoyable and creative ways to support the environment. Here I will list some ideas about how you can help the world.
10. Phantom Energy!
This activity is easy to accomplish and could make a big difference in the planets health. Did you know that if you leave a iPhone charger in the wall not plugged in to a phone it takes up more energy than a regular plugged in charger! This is easy and very much helps the environment.
9. Use Less
Though this activity might be less fun, it certainly is effective. On average, trees produce 80,500 sheets of paper per tree. And although that may sound like a lot, with the amount of paper we use, it's not much. If you print front and back we could cut in half the amount of trees chopped down for paper (4 billion trees a year) . And it's not just paper, things like napkins, electricity, coal and much more qualify under the 'Use Less' category as well.
8. Pick Up Trash
Although at first this idea may not seem as the most fun. I can assure you that you will feel accomplished after cleaning the earth of litter. The earth has way too much trash on it's surface, and getting with a friend to clean up the earth is a great way to limit the trashed items on our earth.
7. Recycle!
Again another idea that may not be as fun. At least it is not time consuming and is quite easy to do. Did you know that paper is the most trashed object. And it is recyclable! This is outrages, we could save wildlife and prevent pollution by limiting the spread of landfills. 6. Spreading The Word
You can do this activity in many ways. If you enjoy writing and drawing to create a poster, you can create a website (like this one) to spread the word. It's the right thing to do, and alerting people about our environment is a major way to stop humans from messing up the planet in which we live on.
5. Recycle Drives
Recycle drives are a great way to get with friends and help the planet. A recycle drive is when you host a gathering where you recycle many types of products. When you gather with friends, you can talk and enjoy helping the environment, it's a win-win!
4. A Competition
I am not suggesting that you do this for every thing in life, but turning every day things into competitions can be fun and enjoyable. You could have a stand off with your brother to see who could use the least amount of battery from your iPhone. This is just one of the many ways that you could help the environment and have a fun, competitive game.
3. Avoid Environmentally Hurtful Products
Whether it is food or a car, avoiding these products can help with health and the environment. And although it may not be fun in the literal sense, you will most definitely feel accomplished and confident after you have done this activity for a substantial amount of time.
2. Donate!
Sure, it isn't the funnest, but it does take practically no time and is really easy to do. Making a donation to foundations is a great way to help the environment. While a lot of people want to help the environment, the costs are expensive and it can limit foundations to limits. Donating allows these foundations to go above and beyond helping the environment. And it barely takes any effort.
1. Plant!
Starting a garden maybe one of the most helpful things for the environment. It produces the very oxygen that we breath. Also, it is a fun experience monitoring your plant, and although time consuming, is a fun way to give back to the earth.
